No. Totally up to you. Most teachers encourage students to have their camera on so they can check to see if they are doing ok during class and because it encourages that communal “in the studio together” feel.
However, if you feel shy you can just wait till you familiarise yourself with the class and the teacher and I’m sure you’ll gain the confidence to turn your camera on.
